Canberra Brewers February Meeting

Hope you all had a great break and did lots of brewing, because it’s time for the first club meeting of the year, to get back into good solid year of brewing.

Prospective members welcome.

EDIT: Please note that the date of this meeting has been postponed by one week from the original date and will occur on 9th Feb.

a) Beer

As always, bring your best, in bottles, growlers or kegs to share – remember they earn NOOKIE points for the annual prize draw – and don’t forget the 6-pack swap.

b) The Polish Club

Polish dumplings are available if you are looking for a meal. There’s also the Duxton across the road.

Either way, please support our hosts by buying an interesting imported commercial beer or two from their well-stocked bar.

c) Raffle

Buy tickets in the monthly raffle for a chance to win great prizes and earn NOOKIE points for this year’s big annual prize draw.

d) Education Session

Chuck and Mozzie will running a style focus session on German weizens.

e) Committee nominations

We are a volunteer run organisation, and without volunteers, we don’t run. If you are considering nominating (and of course you are, being the stalwart reliable brewer that you are), the Feb meeting would be a great time to talk to existing committee members about what is involved.

g) Consider the Safety of Your Community

Please remember that despite relaxed rules, we are still in a pandemic. If you have symptoms, get a test, and if you or a close contact has recently tested positive for COVID, please do the right thing by the club, play it safe and stay at home this month

And as always, please drink responsibly and make appropriate transport arrangements.
